“Reversing the hydraulic press of creative pressure..” 🙏 That’s exactly what I’m seeking this summer and why the Artist’s Way pop up is so serendipitous!
Ah, @Jenny, this piece and the Apple ad is festering in my psyche. As it seems to be with so many other creators and creatives in business. I see it as an accidental confession of how the tech industry and those that author it, squeeze, literally the life out of people and the things that we use to create. I see this as a call to stand on our own convictions and keep creating — making beauty — in our own way, as much as we can, for as long as we can, in all the ways that we can, for as many people and companies as we can.
So well said!! I love love love the way you said it, let’s throw this on a billboard!! “I see this as a call to stand on our own convictions and keep creating — making beauty — in our own way, as much as we can, for as long as we can, in all the ways that we can, for as many people and companies as we can.” 👏👏👏💯✨❤️❤️❤️
Right?! Just so colossally stupid and callus…unless they were trying to enrage us? Which is even stupider! Someone made the point that sadly creatives probably aren’t even their target market any longer…when a company is this big, they just lose all touch…yuckity yuck yuck is right! Thank goodness we have each other and our extended soul group to keep shining and following the creative sparks together 🥰
What a de-humanizing ad! Crushing all kinds of creative tools we value and flattening our lives?!? No thank you. Seth’s response is brilliant though. We WILL push back against the forces that seek to make us into soulless automatons. ❣️🌻
Yes, we will push back!! Several people posted the ad in reverse, totally agree that it reads *so* much better that way, especially since this version isn’t even original!! LG already did the crushing-all-we-revere charade in the early aughts 🙄

Thank you, Jenny❤️🙏
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Jenny. What an anti-life, anti-joy, anti-diversity view. Yuck yuckity yuck!
