Where we left off . . .

For the last ten days, I have been packing up the apartment all day, every day, coated in sweat, dust, and grime from 90+ degree heat. I alternate between wanting to cry from all the memories to exhilaration as I clear never-ending clutter, slowly building a sense of momentum and possibility.

Every single magnet, book, journal, slip of paper, clothing item, coffee mug, and dog toy is undergoing careful, exhausting scrutiny: Will it fit into one of two tiny storage units? Will we ever see it again? Is it worth paying rent on for an untold number of months?

And most importantly: Where will we go next?
